Remove Weekend Dates in Excel Graph

Untitled Document Whenever you create a graph with date, it always include the weekends in the graph though you do not have any data or value on that weekend dates. There is an option to remove the weekend dates on the graph in Excel. We will start with small example and follow the below steps to achieve the target.

Step 1:

Assuming you have a table in the excel as shown in the below picture.

Step 2:

To insert a graph, go to menu bar and click Insert->Column in Charts tab as shown in below.

Step 3:

The output of graph will be displayed like below picture with weekend dates included automatically.

Step 4:

To remove weekends from the graph, right click on the date axis and click Format Axis. A window will appear like below image.

Step 5:

In that window choose Text Axis from Axis Type as shown in the below picture to remove the weekends from the graph.

Step 6:

Choose the Text Axis option and close the window. Now weekend dates removed from the graph as shown in the below picture.
