VLOOKUP Function in Excel

We will start with example to understand the Vlookup formula or function in excel. The below picture will explain you how to put vlookup in required cell.

Vlookup Formula Syntax:

=VLOOKUP(lookup_value,table_array,col_index_num,[range_lookup])

Now we will put formula into cell I3 using above syntax to get value as student name into cell I3 as shown in the below picture.

Also put formula into cell J3 to get total marks of same student as shown in the below picture.
